I am surprised to say the least, I have been trying to find this birth for ages its in the year 1857 but there is nothing on ancestry except one for the year 1859, which is wrong as I have the cert. Just been on 1837 for something else and decided to have a quick look and there it was I thought ancestry was up to date for that year am I wrong.

Ancestry is not complete. It takes all its transcriptions from FreeBMD, and so is behind that too. You can see the progress here... http://freebmd.rootsweb.*com/progress.shtml

Thanks for that , I never realised, been searching on there for ages, glad I double checked on 1837, maybe I will find some more that are missing.

you sure do Karen I have wasted lots of money and time sending of for the certs that looked likely because I didnt realise the right ones were on 1837 .

If you look on Freebmds home page you can see which dates and areas have been transcribed so far. They pass the info on to ancestry so freebmd should be ahead of ancestrys records.
