help with australian telephone number

can anyone help.My aunt tonight remembered she had a telephone number for relatives in Queensland.it 0061 then 8 more digits.I rang it -no such number.is this the correct amount of digits?

hi melanie, Found a number for Mcpherson 1 digit extra to number i was given,just had a 53 min phonecall to Austalia,amazing,found out about so many rels,hard to take it all in,thanks for the suggestion of a different spelling many thanks beki
