Looking for coroners report on George Henry Miller age 6yrs born Cardiff, son of George Miller, died 30 Oct 1903, Cardiff infirmary Roath Cardiff, cause of death-: Septic Pneumonia resulting from an injury to the thigh caused by a kick given by another little boy by misadventure. Inquest held 31 Oct 1903 any help gratefully received John |

John, I had a similar thing with one of my great uncles. I wrote to the Sheffield Archives who searched for me for free and then charged me £2.60 for two copies of the report in the paper. If you contact the Archives section in Cardiff library, I am sure they will help you. Margaret |

John Unfortunately, a lot of coroners reports didn't survive. If you have no luck with that at the local studies library etc, then ask if a search of the local newspaper can be made for that date. Accidents were often reported sometimes with great detail. My husband's great grandfather was run over by a furniture van in 1909 (he'd been driving it down hill), and died from injuries sustained, this was reported in three local newspapers, and I have all of the reports now, as well as confirmation of his father-in-laws name.
