Thanks Judith, My granda used to have a letter that was sent to his mam when he was discovered in the hospital but he gave it to a school for a war project and never got it back. Such a shame - I would have given it a good home. Natalia x |

There would be his army records, but I think for WW2 records only the next of kin has a right to apply for them. If he came from a fairly small community I suppose it is possible there might have been a report in the local newspaper about him. |

Does anyone know if I would be able to find any information about my great uncle? He was injured in ww2 whilst fighting for the British army and ended up in an American Army hospital (long story ). I was wondering if there would be records somewhere. Natalia x |
