Does anyone know how to search canadian records. have just discovered that my husbands grandfather was born in either new Brunswick or Ontario, and came here with the Canadian army, marrying a Cornishwoman and settling in Bristol. Any ideas how to go back further?

Kathryn, If you google Archivianet and click on Soldiers of First World War, they should have his attestation papers which has date and place of birth and name of next-of-kin. Good luck, Margaret in Canada

Oops, Kathryn, just realized that you didn't specify First World War. If it's WW2 that you meant then what I said won't help. Sorry, Margaret
