1861 census deciphering!

Also, the tail end of the word does look like ''stall'' (I think you will agree?) I use a little programme called ''Parloc Parish Locator'' (google it if you're interested). It's a very simple program (needs to be with me using it lol), but is brill for finding out where places are, distances between parishes and what parishes are in what counties in 19thC etc etc etc. You can also search for part of a parish name, so I searched for ''stall'' clicked through the list and every time one came up in Yorkshire I compared it to the entry on the census - Result - only sensible match = Birstall. Please could somebody look at the following on the Leeds census and tell me where David Schofield (aged 45) was born. I just can't work out that squiggly writing!! RG/9/3354 (is this all the info neede??) Thanks, x |
