Hi When you add names to your tree do they show up on a list for people searching for that name, I have added quite a few but don't show up when looking for the name if you get what i mean thankyou Margaret

Hi Margaret, when you add people to your tree they are in the genes reunited system, when anyone searches that name it will come up with the year and place of birth, hope that helps??? Laura x

Hi Margaret As I understand it, when you add a name to your tree, it joins all the other names in the whole of GenesReunited. People can then search by clicking on 'search' at the top of the Genes screen using the surname and as many other details as they can. There is also the facility to click on 'name summary' on the list at the left of your screen and look at recnetly added names with the same surname as those in your tree. Hope that helps. Jo
