Dear Friends Please could somebody possibly tell me if I am allowed to use information taken from the Parish Records to create a one name study website. Many thanks for any help with this Regards David

I think it depends on whether the source of your parish records was a transcription owned by someone else, in which case they have copyright. But if you got them from the original parish registers, I think that's OK. But I'm not a lawyer! nell

Copyright only exists for 70 years, so I think you will be all right. More info here: www.is4profit.com/busadvice/copyright/basic_copyright_facts/index.htm nell
