Valerie If you go on the GRO website to order, you get a form on your screen. Follow it down to the point where it says:(something like)Please note, only the father's name is checked. If you want to add further checking points... Press that bit and it takes you to a further screen, where you can waffle away to your heart's content (more or less). Its still only £7. Hope this helps, its a while since Ive used the GRO site so cant remember the exact wording. Olde Crone |

Valerie - just to confirm that yes, when you click on 'Order Certificates' on 1837 they actually send you to the GRO website; you can't actually order certificates from the 1837 website itself. Kate. |

Hi Ann been catching up on tedious things like Ironing again its only a month since I did some, doesnt it mount up??? have to show willing now and again as hubby isnt a bit interested in this hobby, did I say hobby I mean life long job. I seem to have as many wrong certs as I do right ones I get so impatient and carried away should really double check everything again and again. Got my fingers crossed for this lot thanks |

thanks Helen is that the same place 1837 direct you to online because thats what I usually do, but cannot work out how to do reference checking on there so thats why I rung them so I could explain it better, as its costing me a small fortune getting the wrong certs and its very frustrating too. |

I usually order through 1837 online at £7 each but because I have had a few wrong ones and wanted to make sure I had checking refs I ordered by phone the number that 1837 give you, and was surprised when told they were dearer £8.50 each is this normal and how much refund would I get if they dont match thanks |
