Hello Grampa Jim, Try emailing: normanbrownatmyself(.)com replace ''at'' with the symbol! He is the contact for the Royal Pioneer Corps website: www.royalpioneercorps(.)co.uk (remove all brackets) and has been incredibly helpful regarding info about my father-in-law who was also in the RPC (Spanish Company). We now have his service record, though it did take 13 months!! Good Luck Merry |

My son-in-law's grandad came from the India Area. He was born in 1916 at, we believe, Benibazar, Assan District. Although the only Benibazar I can find is in Nepal. He served in the Pioneer Corps during WW2, and his Regimental Headdress was a Turban although he didn't wear one in Civvy life. Can anyone guide me as to how to ascertain his Regiment and get details of his service record. His name was Mohib Ali. |
