On Ancestry he is transcribed as 3 months old, and I double-checked by looking at the original image. If you do look at the image, you can also see that the Div II is written in a different handwriting to the rest of the page, so must have been added later (I don't think that it's actually referring to a town, but not really sure what it does mean). On the 1861 image he is shown as 3 months old, so the birth that Merry found above looks right. I checked the image on FreeBMD and there were only 2 Alfred Kemps registered in March 1861 - the one above and another in Teesdale, so he's the only one in Kent. Don't know what the ''Div II'' means on the census, but it's been added later as it's in a different handwriting. Richard

I have got 3 now all wrong, my fault in a way, did not ask for refs check, but this time I am going to ring to order it and that way can make it clear what ref checks to do. I dont think I have tried that one thanks will see if thats the one do hope so but I dont think he had a middle name

I have been trying to get a birth cert for a Alfred Kemp C1861 on 1861 census age 0 born Div 1i Kent I have ordered 3 birth certs now and all wrong really need some help with the district thanks
