thanks for your help have got a print out lily battey was born abt 1895 her dad was born plumbro derby? the more i go into finding ancestors the nearer home i get cudworth where they lived is only about 1hr from i live eileen

are you sure you've got the right family? The Lily Batty you're looking at was born in 1900 -- 1895 isn't right, it's some kind of computer error. The image says 6 months and the transcription also says 6 months. But there were two Lily Battys born in 1894-5, so age 6 on census night -- one in Barnsley and one in Mexborough. They're all on FreeBMD and they're all in the census. How much do you know about the Lily you're looking for?

robin i am trying to trace my great grandma ann battey born 1852 at doncaster i have got her living with husband and family at hollingworth cheshire in the 1881 census last night i thought i would have a look at some battey familys {i am begining to think thats the right description of this family} it was while doing this i came across lily and her description ofupornd dau on the image in daylight i could see better it looked like grandaughter age was 6months on the census print out it says she was born in 1895 that would make her 6years old whether she is a relative i dont know there are several spellings of battey thats the one weve always used batty battye battie are others there are at least 42 lilies on the 1901census i am going to leave lily and look somewere else thanks for listening i hope i havent bored you to much eileen
