Well Derek, Sounds like you have had quite an adventure. I'm still here in Harwich. Never did get you an answer on those people you knew. But I hardly know a soul after 5 years. Just an incomer, lol. Thinking of moving back to Colchester next year though. Hope you get a result Diane

Thanks Elaine, how did you speak to them? it costs more than a quid to ring USA, did you use email? Hi Diane, my old stalwart and longterm supporter. My news is, am just back after three weeks in California for a wedding of a cousin I knew nothing about this time last year. This led to meeting up with a further six cousins found and researched in various ways, absolutely great, still on a cloud!! Thanks for info ref YFT, I rang and they will ring me back with the telephone number. I will keep you informed of what happens, it may be of use to others. I met up with Kat from Mersea, had lunch with her family, got sunburnt, tried to find Lisa, of Mumford fame, in San Francisco, failed miserably, just ran out of time. Bye for now, luv,Derek in France

Hi Derek, You still having trouble?? In an advertisement in YFT this month they say they have a FREEPHONE UK helpline(not included in the advert!) I would suggest trying to see if someone with a sub has it and phone them. Get them to help you resolve it. You shoudn't have to put up with all this hassle. Good luck Diane

Hello Derek ,I am thinking of buying FTM 2005 in the next week or so... I was under the impression that it comes with a three month free subscription to Ancestry................am I wrong as you mention giving them your card number ?

As requested by FTM2005 to continue to use Websearch, one should click 'internet,' select 'Purchase an Ancestry.com subsciption', but after clicking this entry, I get whatever I had on screen previously, the same goes for 'Start an Ancestry.com trial subscription'. Can anyone give a reasonable answer, please. They do have my card number, even phoning has not been successful. Have I explained the problem clearly enough? Thanks, Derek in France
