This was an upgrade I ordered direct from Genealogy.com by phone about 10 days ago. The envelope had a US Postal service customs declaration (value $10) on it but was mass mail postmarked from Frankfurt in Germany. It was in my post office box this morning (August 25, Sydney time) The 'Charting Companion' is included on the CD, which looks like a standard product CD, not a specific upgrade only CD. I haven't had a chance to load it up yet, but will report again when I've done so. Cheers, Bill Sydney, Australia

The FTM 2006 installation went through OK on the default settings, deleting the FTM 2005 program files and installing the FTM 2006 program files. For some reason the FTM 2005 icon wasn't deleted from my desktop, even though an FTM 2006 icon was installed. Anyway my .FTW files opened up with no problems in FTM 2006. The released FTM version number is now 13.0.281. Charting Companion is separate install from the CD menu. At the end of the install it will do an automatic search for the location of any .FTW files on your C: drive. There is also an auto-scan option on CC File Open menu so you can rerun the auto-scan at any time. There are also 'User Guide' and a 'Wall Chart Printing Tips' documents for CC that you can download from the Progeny web site. I haven't had time to do much with CC as yet, but I can immediately see the various on-screen Browse views being very useful for me, even if I never print anything from the program.
