I would like a basic outline of my whole family tree, is this possible? I just want it to have names and dates on rather than just looking at five boxes each time and having to click on a letter to extend it. any ideas? thanks caroline

You can view 3 generations, but that's it, your screen wouldn't fit anymore in anyway. If you print it and try to fit it together, you'll see why. I made one using Excel and it is 3 pages of A4 and that is just 5 generations on my paternal side going back each generation with the same surname, including siblings. The spread would be immense if I tried to incorporate more.

Hi Caroline, you can still view your tree on the 'old tree programme' which I prefer to the new layout. You'll find it on the left hand side. best wishes Christine
