I would be grateful if anyone can help ! I read on a Thread about the Gores Directory being just as good as the electrol register, if not better. Could anyone tell me exactly what this is ? Where I can find this? amd if possible is it only specific to certain areas ? Many Thanks |

libraries-on fiche or film,and in book form.Local areas have local directories. |

I wouldn't say as good. Helpful though. They list head of household but not all the other members in the house. Whereas an electoral register will list everyone who is of an age to vote. They are helpful when looking for an address around the time of a census or in the years after 1901 though. Jane |
