Uploading gedcom file - how long does it take

Can anyone tell me how long it takes from receiving the email sayling the upload had been successful to actually receiving your updated tree on the GR site. I have had numerous problems over the past 2 weeks. Jan

Jan As far as I know you should be able to access your tree as soon as you have received the email. Lynne

i have given up! no reply to numerous E-mails to genes. my tree uploaded the other night til i looged off, when i came back on the next day it was gone again the exact same file (with a few corrections) had been up loaded (after much trouble) just a few weeks before. no change in software/PC settings etc etc so i have no idea whats going on, all i know is it isn't me! bev

Bev The same thing has happened to me one minute I was viewing it after waiting for several days for it to be put back on and then it was gone again. Jan

Don't know whether this is relevant but just done a system scan and cleaned out my cookies and temp internet files. tried to load my gedcom on here and heh presto, up it pops within minutes. now whether it will still be here tomorrow we shall have to wait and see lol Bev (frantically checking names summary)

I finally managed to upload my gedcom file last week after 2 or 3 attempts (and deletions). Following my successful upload my tree was visible within an hour and (touch wood) it hasn't disappeared yet!
