I actually found my ancestor's marriage record, as well as countless burials at the FHO website, which are not to be found in the IGI! Therefore, if you cannot find your ancestor in the IGI, it's worth checking the above website, especially for parish records in Worcestershire/Wiltshire. It costs less than 50p to view a couple of records, and searches are free. Obviously, you should always check the original records too. I honestly thought I would never find a record on there that wasn't already entered into the IGI, but I proved myself wrong! :)

Great - but what is the FHO web address, please? I haven't heard of it. I tried FHO on Google and got a forestry website about growing tress, not the family type. I'm always pleased to get ideas LOL

I've found a lot of info on there - it's really good. Still stuck on my Jonathon Bowdrey though - are the 1600's are too early for this site?
