Looking for the death of Thomas KNott..father of William b1829 Westminster... Have looked at freebmd....but am unsure when he died....only that he died before 1854.... Is there anywhere I can check for the death...that would maybe lead me to a transcription? Like...Thomas KNOTT....father of William??? Worth an ask Thanks leeanne

Did he have any more children after William that you know of? You could use that information to narrow down the years you'll have to search through in the GRO indexes. If he died before 01/07 1837 a death certificate wouldn't exist anyway. Do you know where he died?

You could also ask for 1841/51 census look ups, see if father & son are together, to narrow down the years Sam

Might be worth looking on the National Burial Index...there will be a copy at your nearest records office...or post a request on the records office board. Good luck. Joan
