Parish registers SoG and LDS

As a rule at the SoG the registers listed with a microfilm or fiche reference are filmed original registers, those with shelf number references are usually bound transcripts, some of which do give all that was in the register but some of which don't. |

The parish registers I've seen at the LDC family history centre have been filmed from the originals. Kath. x |

Are these film/fiche records mainly originals or transcripts? I heard that transcripts don't usually show the witnesses at weddings, so they would be no good... |
