There is a John Quinn, private in the 52nd Foot at District Royal Marine Light Infantry, Chatham Barracks. Birth year 1862 and place of birth Durham. Can't find Jane or Edward yet. I take it that John was not married in 1881. The other possibility is that if he was not married he could be in the same vicinity as his future wife, but would need her maiden name for search. johns last name may b spelt with 1 n instead of 2 and elizabeths maiden was keaghan again the spelling could vary on 1891 census it says john was a minor and they married in 1884/5 in sunderland but on marriage certificate it says her last name was kagan lol the spelling mistakes dont make things easy do they lol
