I have my GG Grandmother sarah Pratt, living with her cousin Ann BROWN on 1891 census age 14 both scholars, Ann was born in Abererch I'm wondering why they would be living there together on there own at such an age, and can anyone find Ann on 1881 age 4 living with anybody??!! I'm trying to find out which family she is from! I have looked at 1881 but nothing so far, incidently cant find Sarah either on 1881! but thats for another day

I've found it........so they are on their own ...strange. Do you have any idea of Ann Family who she might be with in 1881 ? Sarah Pratt is down as daughter in 1891.... who are her parents ? Lets try 1881...............

have no idea who's anns parents are, am presuming they are family of sarah (annes) mothers, her mother was mary davies and married william pratt in 1875, He was from sierra leone, so its none of his family, mary pratt is found with family Jones' in the same area in 1891, down as Sick, The Ann Brown is a new one for me!

I can't see anything obvious in Wales or England 1881. Brown...Jones...Wales...you certainly know how to pick them...LOL Still looking !!

No can't see her Tracey........I give up ( Never did like Wales !) The only Ann B. Abererch was B.1876 ( this was the closest I could get ) has the surname Hughes.......She was however living at 28 Abererch Road ( the same address as 1891 )...So I looked at pages 27-38 which is Abererch Road but could see no Browns/ Pratts ( Loads of Jones though ! )...........It was a long shot but I tried. You may have seen these already but I found 2 Ann(e) Browns in Wales the right age on the 1881. One was the daughter of a widow Margaret, the other the step daughter of Elizabeth. I guess either of them could have been sent away before the 1891 census. It's just a guess but maybe worth a look. Sue

Thanks Yvonne, I have 1861/71 and 81, thanks to some very good people on here, so the daughters were (1861) Anne Davies abt 1851 Abererch, Caernarvonshire, Wales Daughter Abererch Caernarvonshire Eller Davies abt 1857 Abererch, Caernarvonshire, Wales Daughter Abererch Caernarvonshire (Eller is Ellen mistranscribed) Mary Davies abt 1855 Abererch, Caernarvonshire, Wales Daughter Abererch Caernarvonshire The most likey then Is Anne (as the mother) of Ann! typical!!
