I have found my GGrandfather's brother, Henry Arthur Duffy, living in London with occupation Dramatic Author. In 1901 he is described as Journalist Author. I would like to know whether he actually wrote any books or whether he was just a journalist for a newspaper. I have tried 'googling' to get more information on this but not had any success. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Lynne |

If he was a journalist, he may have written for a specific paper or been freelance. If any of his books were published by English or Welsh publishers by law a copy has to be placed in the British Library. So he should be in their catalogue. nell |

In a word - no! You could try to find the Society of Authors and see how long its been going, as he may have been a member. nell |
