Hi Jess / Nell As you have found the Brides were Sarah A (Benjamin's Wife) based on their first born I'm guessing at a marriage around 1880/1 Joseph was married to Susannah (b.1860ish Walsall) again basd on first child I'd estimate around 1881/2. I cant even find a marriage!! Thanks for looking ... P

I've had a go with various combos, including Crubb, Rubb, Frubb (yes, getting desperate!) but no joy. Perhaps they did a swap and we should look for Ben & Joe Broad and Jas and George Grubb? nell

Undoubtedly very elusive. Had a moderately determined look, but no joy, I'm afraid. Have to go back to hunting my Hannah Bennett in 1871! Christine

Thanks Little Nell I'll certainly keep me eyes peeled! I guessing this must either be a transcription error, or they were not recorded for some reason during 1881! Nice to know that its not jsut my rellies though :) Cheers...P

I think it most likely they are with my George and James Broad! Both born Mawgan, Cornwall, George 1856 and James 1859. Both in Mawgan, Cornwall in 1871. George is in Cowbridge, Glamorgan on 1881. James has gone. 1901 they are both missing. I will look for Ben and Joe if you keep your eyes peeled for my two! nell

Hi all I’m going mad trying to find two brothers (GGG Uncles) here’s what I have so far; 1861 – They are living with Parents William and Ann in Shropshire ---- Joseph Grub abt 1857 Woluston, Buckinghamshire, Son Beckjay Shropshire 1871 – Still with parents but in Wales ---- Benjamin Grub abt 1862 Newnham, Worcestershire, Son Bedwellty Monmouthshire Joseph Grub abt 1858 Winslow, Buckinghamshire, Son Bedwellty Monmouthshire 1881 ---- ???? 1891 – Now married and living next door to one another in Yorkshire ---- Grubb, Benjamin abt 1863 Newnan, Worcestershire, Head Brightside Bierlow Yorkshire Grubb, Joseph abt 1858 Buckinghamshire, Head Brightside Bierlow Yorkshire 1901 – Ben back in Walsall (other family members found here in 1881) ---- Benjamin Grubb abt 1861 Newnham, Worcestershire, Head Walsall Staffordshire So where is Joseph in 1901 (I cant find a record of a death) and where are they both during 1881? I have tried all kinds of combinations, I’ve tried finding their wives (Sarah A and Susannah), I’ve tried limiting the information I enter, i.e. Christian name with year of birth etc. I’ve even tried trawling the census areas they were last know to have lived. A fresh pair of eyes would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks … P
