..... I have persons on my tree that are in different branches that married each other (yes I know, on more than one occasion too!!), is there a way in the tree builder to demonstrate this, other that put that relation in twice, ie once in each branch, but then I guess there children would be on the tree twice too????

I don't think GR can handle those types of relationships. I use a program to put all mine in, then I don't have to enter them twice. I then upload my GedCOM file, and let GR worry about how to interpret the data lol

Richard My grandparents were first cousins (my gmother's mother and my gfather's father were brother and sister). On my Gedcom it shows their parents (my gggrandparents) twice but on GR it only shows them once. I don't know about how it works if you enter them straight onto GR though. Hope that makes sense. Hi again Richard! I have 1st cousins marrying and it won't show this site unless I enter all of the info twice. There are several other such types of relationship that won't show on properly on here either. I've been a member for nearly 3 years and we've been asking for this to be sorted all of that time. Basically, GR's tree building program is rubbish! lol. I would get a program for use on your computer to build your tree properly. This site is good though for adding names to see if you get a connection, so I would keep adding. Jeanette x
