Good morning all, really hot day today, the only trouble is I have to get the mower out. Anybody fancy giving me a hand as well as doing a look up on the 1871 census. Im looking for WILLIAM LEE born 1851, so that makes him 20yrs old in 1871 give or take a year. He was born in MANCHESTER and was a photographer but dont know if he was in 1871. probably living as a lodger somewhere because I know where his mom and step dad were living then. Thanks very much. There's one in Birkenhead, Cheshire, aged 20, born Manchester. He is married with a 3 month old daughter, and his occupation is Auctioneer's assistant. This occupation could, I suppose, lead to photographing objects for auction catalogues - or am I just being fanciful!!! Kath. x

Kath, yea thats sounds like him. His dad was an auctioneer and his brother was also an auctioneer. his wifes name was EMILY. could you send me a printout please. TED. ps while youve got nothing to do, the grass still needs a trim.

Victor, thanks and hi to you. No I dont think any of those two are him. His dad and brother were auctioneers and he eventually became a photographer, but Kathy seems to have found him in BIRKENHEAD on the WIRRAL. Well I hope so. Thanks again TED.
