Well, its up to you where you buy it! The UK 'Family Tree Maker 2006 Single CD pack with full program CD, and no data CDs' price at (http://www.twrco(.)co.uk/uk2shop-1.htm) is £27.89 including postage, so at ~£24 including postage, the Ancestry price is still quite competitive! Cheers, Bill Sydney, Australia |

I have to say I got mine from ancestry and the $29 dollars included postage. If you are upgrading over the internet it wont need any shipping costs. |

Prices shown on the FTM site do not include shipping charges, these extra shipping charges will be about another 50% of the price extra. Regards Carol www.genealogyprinters(.)com |

I think I got confused with the price, it was $29.99 and when I got my credit card statement, I had been charged £19 odd in sterling. Sam x |

It's £16.57, according to a currency converter I found by googling, but I think it might be a bit more than that. Kath. x |

Hi Chris I had the starter version that came free with a magazine. With the program open, if you go to internet, there should be a link that takes you to the Family Tree Maker website and this allows you to upgrade to the full version. It cost me $19.99 (or thereabouts) and it took about 2 minutes to do, they give you a key code to enter that upgrades the starter version you already have on your PC so you don't have to enter anyone again, all remain the same.
