I'm looking for a death that I think occurred in Scotland in the 1960's. Does anyone know if there is an index like the one for England/Wales that I could refer to online? I don't really want to go to the expense of buying the certificate, all the info I need will probably be in an index if it's similar to the above BMD. I've tried Scotland People but it only goes to 1954. Thanks, Susan

This is from Scottish site saying how you can get certs less than 100 years old: http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/famrec/bdm/index.html nell

Thanks Nell, I've been looking at this site just now but Ican't seem to find any way of getting the information without actually ordering the death certificate. Susan
