Call your children the same names as yourself, your parents and your siblings, as well as your spouse's family names. To be on the safe side, ensure you marry someone whose father has the same first name as you. Ensure that if you have two daughters you name them Eliza and Elizabeth. If you have boys you can call them John and Jack, or Harry and Henry. If they have two names, like Susan Mary, ensure they are recorded at least once as Mary Susan. Try to marry again between censuses and don't worry about the correct spelling on the marriage cert. Move away from your home parish into another county before 1841 and then move elsewhere. Lie about your age. It's also a good wheeze to ensure that either everyone is a labourer, or to change occupation for each census and certificate. Please try to die away from home so that the registration area is not obvious and then get buried somewhere else again. nell

Hi Have two daughters registered with exactly the same first and second names and do this twice within the same family unit. Mind you they had 14 children so they might just have run out of names. LL
