Can anyone tell me if the Coastguard Cottages at Saltburn are the same place as Huntcliff Cottages, Brotton. Recently found out a relative was born at the Coastguard Cottages in the 1920's but I was told they were all born at Huntcliff Cottages. Going by maps and other sites looks as if they could be the same place. |

When I googled, the Coastguard Cottages address appeared to be in Huntcliff, Brotton. Perhaps the local library/local history archive could advise. It's possible they changed the name of the cottages, or they were known as Huntcliff because that's where they were, although properly called Coastguard Cottages. nell |
