And if you then do a search on parents' names Robert Bell and Mary Love, it comes up with 16 entries including 3 of the 4 I listed before, all born between 1773 and 1785 at Bathgate, but that doesn't mean 16 children because each one has multiple entries. I haven't clicked on each one but would guess they are all 'submitted by a member of the LDS church', but they do all have exact dates for birth and baptism so I guess the information must have come from somewhere! I would start by going on Family Search to look up the IGI, and enter Robert Bell, birth, British Isles, Scotland, county West Lothian, year 1773 +- 5 years, and these 4 entries come up: International Genealogical Index / British Isles - 4 Select records to download - (50 maximum) 1. Robert Bell - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 10 JUN 1776 Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland 2. ROBERT BELL - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 29 MAY 1776 3. ROBERT BELL - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Christening: 10 JUN 1776 Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland 4. Robert Bell - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 10 JUN 1776 Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland But the year is a bit out from what you thought, and unfortunately they are all 'submitted by a member of the LDS church' so now you have to try to get some evidence to back it up! I am trying to find the birth of Robert Bell b 1772-1774 said to be from Bathgate Scotland. He died 1848 in Alnwick NBL. Can anybody help or suggest where to start. Chris.
