G/day, Can any one help with my wife's great grandmother Elizabeth Marlow b1845 in Cobham, Surrey, in the 1861 census she was a servant in Barnes Green, Barnes, Surrey, in 1881,1891,1901 she's back in Cobham, Surrey married name Rushby. hope someone can help before my wife goes completely bald, Thank you Tim in Oz

You need to purchase her birth cert .. 1) It will give you both her parents names ... so that you can locate THEM plus possible siblings on the 1841. 2) The address on the birth cert, can be checked on the 1851 census ... as very few of them are actually name indexed, this is usually the only way to search prior to 1861. On records board, someone has 1851 surrey on disc. put a request in their thread, citing the 1861 info, and they'll find it for you.Hopefully Elizabeth will still be at home then!
