I don't know of anyone. But apart from the Times online archive there aren't many obits/wedding notices that are computerised. I think you'd have to trawl through the newspaper issue by issue unless you had a definite date to go on. My grandmother carefully preserved some obits she had from newspapers. But she didn't write on them which paper or which year and its rather frustrating to find 'Mrs Vine, who died last Wednesday was buried on Friday' or that the chief mourners were 'Mr and Mrs S Twinn'. It's only through a lot of research I've found that Mrs S Twinn was actually Bessie, Mrs Vine's daughter. nell

Thank you for your response. I would gladly go through the papers but all my ancestors were born in England or Poland. The dozen or so relatives that lived in Canada since 1927 are all accounted for. Thanks for the advice anyway. I'll just keep on truckin'. Mercia in Canada
