CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO FIND A MARRIAGE BETWEEN JOSEPH HOLCROFT BORN 1818 AND JANE HARGREAVES FROM WIGAN 1861 CENCUS HE HAS 2 SONS AND A DAUGHTER I HAVE BOTH BIRTH CERT FOR SONS NAMING THE MOTHER AS JANE SENT TO WIGAN FOR MARRIAGE CERT BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND ONE. GOT ONE FROM GRO BUT NAMED HIS WIFE AS MARY BULLOUGH. JANE MUST HAVE DIED BEFORE 1861 CENSUS BUT CANT FIND OUT ANY MORE PLEASE HELP MAUREEN

I have come to this rather late but there are two Joseph's. They should be in 1841/1851 with their wives. 1861 census Joseph Holcroft abt 1815 Hindley, Lancashire, England Head Hindley Lancashire wife Mary Hindley is Wigan dist. Joseph Holcroft abt 1818 Wigan, Lancashire, England Head Wigan Lancashire Widower

Hi Maureen 1851 Census Faggy Lane Wigan H0107 / 2199 FOLIO 661 Head Joseph Holcroft age 35 b Pemberton occ Wood Sawyer Wife Jane age 26 b Pemberton Dau Alice age 3 b Wigan Son Joseph age 1 b Wigan So there was a 9 year age gap between Joseph & Jane Poor girl died young didn't she Regards Colette xxxxxxxxxx
