I need to find the transcribed baptism of an illegitimate child (Unknown Yarnold) born between 1844 - 1864 in Worcestershire. The mother's name is Lucy Yarnold, and I once came across the record by accident, but forgot to take notes. Any tips on how to find it again at the FamilySearch website??

Hi Giles There's an Alfred 1854 in Bromsgrove, is that the one? Heather

That's the one!!! How did you find it?? I consider myself quite technical, and able to find siblings at FamilySearch, but you are obviously obviously much smarter than me! How on earth did you search for an illegitimate child? I've been trying to figure it out for ages... thanks Heather! :)

Giles I put full stops in the dad's box and mum's name in the mum's on the IGI search. Heather

Hi Heather. Yes, I'm sitting here laughing. :~) I remembered the first name 'thing', but had forgotten about putting the period where the last name should be. I've not been researching too much since last year, due to family health concerns, and had forgotten a lot of what I discovered. What also threw me was the 'full stop' wording. I'm the type who's computer vocabulary consists of 'thing' 'what's it' and 'you know'. :~) Still laughing. :~)

Hi Lisa I do this sort of thing all the time, find something then can't remember how or where, I blame it on my age, lol. Heather
