Does anyone have any ideas on how to track the Drake family living in Bruntcliffe Morley. George Drake b.1886 (head) Rachel Drake b.1892 (wife) John A Drake b.1914 (son) Kathleen Drake b.1915 (daughter) Ethel Drake b.1917 - d.1931 (aged 14 & buried Bruntcliffe Lane Cemetery) At the time of Kathleen's birth they were living 69 Bruntcliffe Road - Her mother was a laundrey founder & her father a labourer. I assume they stayed in the area as Ethel was buried there. How can I find them. I have posted a zillion messages on the Friends site, sent emails to possible connections on this site, also joined the Morley site and still unable to find anyone with an answer that can help me. It is know after midnight in Australia - I am going to bed; so if I don't get back to any kind soul with any information I will do so tomorrow. Cheers & goodnight Janine

Janine You will need some kind sole to look at the Electoral roll for that area in the timespan you need. This should give you the info you need. Alternately you can search for them at a library in the area concerned. I would contact the library in Morley and ask what they have, as the records may be held elswhere. But if you are in Australia that would be something of a problem unless the library is willing to do a search for you, at a price. Victor

Janine - you could always buy lots of credits on 1837 online and look through quarter by quarter for their deaths, and when you find one order the death cert and it will give you the address where they were living when they died, and if you're lucky the informant will be one of their family. Also trawl through for the marriages of the son and daughter. If you find a marriage, you should be able to find the names of their children even before the marriage cert arrives because you will have spouse's surname from the index entry to check against the birth entries.
