I only knew aprox dates for two death certs and got the right ones, but if you know the reg area, and not too big an aprox time, for example I just said year and Dec quarter. Also help if you can add name of probable person to register the death. In my case it was children so added their parents names to my application. Hope this helps, good luck |

Hi Olivia If you order from the GRO you dont need an exact DOB, just the GRO reference. You can get this by searching FREEBMD or 1837 for the year you think they died. Jacqui |

If you can give us the approx date of death and approx age it would be easier to make constructive suggestions (a lot depends on when the death might have been!). Even to the nearest ten years or so!! MMM |

Would it be possible to find this person on a census, find a marriage certificate or anything else that might give you a clue? |
