When sending for the death certificate of a married woman don't forget to use their Married name!! We get so used to using their maiden names, I always think of my rellies that way. Thats OK for the birth and marriage certificates. I got an email from GRO today refunding 4 of the £7 , because they could not find it. TIP: double check when you send for a death cert that you have put the married name, it could be costly!! K :) |

I have looked on the GRO index, spending lots of pennies, for the wrong surname. Good hint. |

Yes I have also spent lots on 1837 on line then suddenly realised it was the maiden name I needed! Lib |
