Hi again, Just been looking at an old war photo album of my late dad's, taken in different places in Japan and of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in the Atomic Bombing. He was in the Royal Dorsetshire Regt. C.Coy. I don't know if these men were in the same Coy.but they looked dressed in same uniform. There are photo's of soldiers with names on some. If they are your family I would let you have a copy. The names are- JOCK QUIGLEY. G. BISHOP. JACK HUGHES. J. HOLLOWAY.(Nicknamed DAD) R. THOMAS. G. BRISTOW. Also group photos of- 2nd Bn.Dorsetshire Regt. mounting guard at Emperors Palace Tokyo. 34th Australian Infantry Brigade Band in Gomen. 2nd Bn.Queens Own Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band in Asakura Camp nr.Kochi Isle of Shikoku. These are all group photo's, you can't tell who's face's are on them. There are lots of others but no names on them which is a great pity. Jill |
