At least 5 years ago when I first had internet access I placed my names on the message boards at Rootsweb. After a year or two I made contact with a cousin in Ireland which was great. I had totally forgotten about this site in recent years but in the last 3 months I have had 2 enquiries from my original postings. One is a definite connection now in Arizona! Although the threads work in a similar way, people don't seem to be online together like they are here. You have to wait but the site e mails you if someone replies to your posting. netti x |

I currently have 24 sites for family history on my favourites list,guess that makes me a glutton ,then !! One of them is a link site which is invaluable. If you type in the words FREE DATABASES FOR GENEALOGICAL SEARCHING youll find a site that has tons of links to others,all ordered in sections for you.The chap that set it up has been very thorough,and its selfless individuals like him that we owe much to for furthering our investigations. |
