Thanks, Judith. I just wanted to know whether it was worth keeping looking in case other information had been added since I last looked!!

From the Family Search FAQ section: 'Q. Is the International Genealogical Index on the Internet the same as at the family history center? A. Yes. However, the Internet and family history center versions have the following differences: The Internet displays all events and relationships. The compact disc version displays only one event per entry. Information is displayed differently in each version. The Internet version is updated more frequently and contains more information. ' From this I take it that yes the IGI is updated. Certainly I have found extracted parish records on there from the 1850s and 60s which I am reasonably sure were not there when I first started researching 15 or so years ago. Also I think that LDS member submissions get added to it, though of course some of those are surmise rather than fact. Judith

Can anyone please tell me whether the IGI is ever updated, or whether the information that is on there is now complete and nothing else will be added?
