iam trying to find any information on my grand parents and great grand parents all i have is robert james gilchrist born ireland 4 aug 1881 and married florence monk 28jan1907. if any one can help |

Are you sure about that marriage date? According to FreeBMD it looks as though it was in 1908, not 1907: Marriages Mar 1908 GILCHRIST Robert James Brighton 2b 408 Monk Florence Brighton 2b 408 If you purchased the certificate of this marriage, it would tell you both Robert's and Florence's fathers names and occupations. Hi Ian If those Gilchrists on the census records are yours, I wonder if the father was in the army for a while. The son born Gibralter makes me think this as I had the same situation. Sylvia |
