I'm having trouble on one end of the years.....how would I locate them after 1901? I have at least 8 children and young adults to find....Where do I start? Thanks for all suggestions.... Leeanne |

A few suggestions: - GRO births/marriages/deaths index: familyrelatives have these transcribed up to 1920, after that you'll need to look at the fiches in the library or use 1837online. Mother's maiden name for births and spouse's surname for marriages are shown from mid-1911 which helps to narrow down the possibilities. - Trades & postal directories and historical electoral rolls. For these two, you'd need to go to a library that is in the local area. - Phone directories and current electoral rolls - if it's a relatively uncommon surname you might be able to track down descendants who are still in the area. - ''trying to find'' websites such as this one, Friends Reunited etc. Also some local papers have similar sections. |
