Is there anywhere online with this information? I believe I have someone in my tree who was transported for stealing and I was trying to get more information on him. Many thanks! Sharon

Not online, but National Archives has: HO 10 1787-1859 Settlers and Convicts, NSW and Tasmania: Records - Nominal lists of male and female convicts and former convicts in the colonies giving details of age, ship, year, sentence, religion, employment, residence, district, land, cattle horses and sheep acquired. There are also lists of pardons, convicts embarked for and arriving at NSW, general musters and a census of 1828. The class list is simply by date, place, sex, census or pardon. HO 11 1787-1870 Convict Transportation Registers - Lists of convicts transported in ships giving the date of their convictions. They are indexed by name of ship and the date of sailing. The records provide convicts' names, where convicted (including name of court), when, and term (length of sentence). Piece 20 comprises an index of colonies to which convicts were sent, and a list of convict ships. nell
