hi does 57 Oakley Road Islington still exist if so do you know if it is a House or what thanks very much

Hi Valerie, The road still exists - just found it on the A-Z, and it's within walking distance of the Family Records Centre. Perhaps you could combine a trip to both places ;-)) Janice

hi thanks for looking it up I wondered if I could get a map online but not having much luck I live miles from Islington so unlikely to get there in a hurry .My great grandad lived there and had a Top Hat business trying to find out more about him thanks again

Valerie Perhaps his business would be listed in the historical directories? If its not on the website, then while you are combining a visit to Oakley Road/FRC you could go to the London met archives, 5 mins walk from FRC which has a lot of directories. nell ps my maiden name was GRAY.

will try that too Helen you are so helpful thanks a lot, maybe you can help with the census images I saved how do I get a decent print with large writing, Eyes arent what they used to be I am not having a lot of luck, dont really understand the programme for it
