Yes, see the National Archives information leaflet online: www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/familyhistory/name/ But remember that it wasn't (and still isn't) necessary to change your name by deed poll. You just need to notify people of your new name and stick to it, its perfectly legal as long as you don't intend to defraud. nell |
