i first found my greatx3 grandparents wedding on FreeBMD Marriages Mar 1866 BACHE David Dudley 6c 122 Fisher Mary A Dudley 6c 122 just looked on IGI and found David Bache Male Marriages: Spouse: Mary Ann Fisher Marriage: 26 MAR 1865 Lower Gornall, Stafford, England now i think David was living in dudley with his parents & mary ann may have been living in stafford (she's origianlly from shropshire) when she was a servant but just noted the IGI is not from parish records - but a info from a submitted member - could this be why? any ideas?

The Freebmd is from the GRO index ans is almost certainly correct. The IGI entry will have been mis-transcribed.

I think its quite likely that one of these dates is wrong - either 1865 should be 1866 or vice versa. You would need to check the parish marriage register and get the cert indexed by Freebmd to see what is going on. Although the index Mar could indicate the wedding took place any time between Dec-Mar, its odd that March is the month on the IGI. nell

Looking at the image (via the FreeBMD link) the year/qtr is definitely March 1866 not 1855. Christine

Don't know if it'll prove to be any use to you, but there are quite a lot of BACHE marriages and births on http://www.bmsgh.org Christine
