hi all,just wondered if anyone knows if theres a way to find out if someone actually got emails sent through gu,i have tried on numerous occassions to contact someone who im positive is my cousin,am now extra sure because i got a copy of her mums death cert,with maiden name on it,and after putting that name in here to do a search it came up right and there was the sign saying i had been in contact before.i always reply to the people that contact me,so basically if you get emails please have the common decency to reply,even if its to say your not interested. had my whinge feel better now. thanks

It is sooo frustrating isn't it! I wish GR had some way of flagging those trees that haven't had activity for say 6 months. I'm sure a lot of people put their trees up on a whim, then never return to them again. But I agree, even a quick note to say you're not interested is better than nothing at all!

No way of knowing if someone has read a message you have sent them. Some people have a passing interest - how many bits of 'started and finish later' do you have? Their e-mail address may also have changed, Many may reasons really. Jess
