Hi Joan, I've still had no luck with finding Elizabeth. I noticed Sidney's death was registered in the district of Radford. When looking for this, I cam across a death for 'Sidney Pickering' aged 16, in 1870 (7b 121) - I would imagine this was his nephew? Regards Helen |

Hi, I did have a quick look for his wife in 1871 earlier, but I couldn't seem to find her. I've got to log off now else I'd have another look. Maybe she died too? Good luck! |

I have access to the 1841 census and he appears to be In St Peter, John Street Derbyshire. my image thing isnt working yet, but if you want me to take a look tomorrow let me know. I have other Pickerings, if that will help |

I think this is him in 1861: Sidney Pickering, Head, 46, Engineer Maker? Born Melbourne, Derby Elizabeth Pickering, Wife, 45, born Derby Sidney Pickering, Nephew, 6yrs, born Nottingham They're in Radford, Nottinghamshire, not to sure of the address sorry. I don't have access to any earlier census' else I'd look for you. Regards Helen |

I have a Sydney Dixon Pickering born 1815 Melbourne Derby he married Elizabeth Kirkland 1837 and died 21-4-1865. Can anyone tell me where he was between 1837 and 1865, and his wife please Thanks Joan |
