Is there anyone under the age of 20, whose researched their tree - on their own - from the 1900s back to the 1600s? |

i'm 25 and only with the information given to me by my mother (which sadly wasn't much as her mother died when she was ten and the family was split up) and the good help of people on here doing lookups and such i've managed to researh parts of my tree back to the mid 1700's but still trying to get furthe back. sadly some names in the family i cant even find on 1901 census so they areproving a little bit more difficult to research regards Martin ps i do get a bit of stick from some of the lads at work but all the ladies seem to love it |

I know there are a few - they are usually floating around on the general topics board. You may want to post this on there too :) Joanne |

Hi Giles. Dont ask anyone to reveal their age.You have to be 18 to join this site. One girl was 13 and although her grandmother had paid for her she was told to leave the site. Daniel Longman is 17 but hes been here a while and I think was allowed to stay. No wonder people change their names to avoid detection. |

The age was reduced to 16. The girl to whom you may be referring, Margaret, was 16 and is still on site. She is in my contacts. Joy |

I don't want to sound like a fuddyduddy, but i don't think the names of our younger searchers should be revealed. this could open them up to certain people that make friends for dubious reasons, please be careful,I care for vulnerable young people so i know what happens, Moe! |
